Ermes®
Ermes is an Electronic Remote Monitor for Energy Systems.
As an optional extra, generating sets can be fitted with the above system relating to maintenance, oil pressure, temperature etc. The system facilitates the monitoring of these parameters and is set up within the control panel through cellphone or internet technology.
An example of this is a Genset due for service after 500 hours will send an sms or email to the service controller informing them that the service is due. If the service is not carried out the genset will shut down. This system is particularly useful for Gensets located in remote areas.
If the Genset is located in the vicinity of a wireless network connection, the Ermes system can be connected to this instead of connecting through a cellphone connection. This would save money to the user. The following image shows how this connection works:

Features:
- All parameters monitored
- Planned and automatic monitoring of all the Generating Set’s sub-system (engine, battery, alternator, fuel tank…)
- Remote management of the generator
- Start up and shut down remotely, with ability to bypass alarm system
- Continuous control of the fuel consumption and with the chance to give a warning if the fuel consumption is too high.
- Monitoring of the power and efficiency
- Details of plant failure analysis
- Automatic trouble shooting guide of possible causes of breakdown
- General warning of services due or failures encountered
